Goal: Reduce injuries, disabilities, and deaths due to unintentional injuries and violence.

15-38. Reduce physical fighting among adolescents.

Target: 33 percent.

Baseline: 37 percent of adolescents in grades 9 through 12 engaged in physical fighting in the previous 12 months in 1997.

Target setting method: Better than the best.

Data source: Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), CDC, NCCDPHP.
